An acknowledge message is a special type of document that informs the sender whether a sent document (such as an e-invoice) was successfully delivered or rejected. It also allows for document cancellation, provided the recipient has not yet confirmed or rejected content.
Types of acknowledgement messages:
- Acknowledgement message 12 - The document was successfully received by the recipient or their electronic exchange provider.
- Acknowledgement message -99 - A technical rejection by the recipient or exchange provider. The message includes the reason for rejection (e.g., incorrect structure, missing data).
- Acknowledgement message 27 - A business/content rejection from the recipient (optional, applies to invoices only).
- Acknowledgement message 29 - A bussines/content confirmation from the recipient (optional, applies to invoices only).
